Yes, go ahead and try dialing that number and see for yourself what happens!

Obviously we had an officer show up. Whomever of my dear children who dialed it, used the fax phone. So when the dispatch tried to call back they only got the sound of a fax line. The cop came speeding into the driveway, which is gravel at my parents, and even left skid marks. Kyle's van was parked outside, so I am sure he is thinking something insane could be going on.

Yes, insane crazy was going on. Grandma Betty, Kyle, and I were in a serious game of scrabble. Catelyn was beside herself because of her loose tooth, and Landon and Jojo were busy coloring while watching Dora.

Kyle beat me at Scrabble by 7 whopping points, and he should have lost. I had to help him. I can't stand it when I see a better spot for someone's word. I have to point it out. So frequently, I loose.

Yesterday was a crazy, crazy day!

The Opposite of Christmas Morning

We are having the opposite of Christmas morning at our house.  No toys.  We have one of these for storing toys: And several of these for the same reason: And last night the kids thought dumping them out for the sake of dumping toys would be fun.  This is a major rule breaker in our home.  I have had problems with this in the past, (even Mykalee knows this) and i have told them if it happens again, all the toys will disappear. And last night, after I found out what they had done, the toys have been grounded.  FOR A WEEK.  I hope it's as devastating as possible, so that they will learn I am serious when it comes to dumping toys out. {Also, Brooklyn is the only one who is exempt from this, as she was in bed.  Innocent.} On a side note, we did get the kids this on Friday.  It was time.  They seem to love it.

Catelyn--The Birthday Girl!

She knew.  I told her that she was getting a dress for her 8th birthday.  We tried some on, and fell in LOVE with the one we ended up surprising her with!  Doesn't she look too grown up?   I teared up as I watched 12 more years flash before my eyes as I saw her in this mini-wedding dress.  But it was the one for her.  We knew it. With Grandpa Dean's passing, we received special permission {which Kyle didn't like to have to ask for, because in the church handbook, it specifically says "Members should not ask for special permission to baptize their children. . .blah, blah blah....*Oh!! not that I am making fun of the handbook.  I just don't what it says exactly* I argued back that this was a rare exception, and we should at least ask. {Also, not as rare as I thought-- as I found out Friday night -March 18- that the family who had a viewing going at the same time as ours, at Coltrin's, had a baptism and a funeral in the same day as well! ...
