Halloween Carnival

We went to the Halloween Carnival on Friday night! One of our favorite activities was face painting.

Momma's Girl

Don't kid yourself.  She's got a temper and can be nothing but full of vinegar sometimes, but mostly, she's a sweet, snuggly, kissable, tender-hearted gumdrop. And she nearly dies when I have to leave for a meeting or some other thing. Like a date with Kyle. Or have surgery. Or mention going somewhere without her. *DIES* And when that happens, she needs to snuggle with me and  fall asleep in my arms. And I let her. LOVE HER.

The day has arrived...

I'm going to be spending many years looking at doors like this one.  We have officially hit the stage where we need to try clothes on. Catelyn's nearly five feet tall now and can wear a women's size 6.5 shoe! So today I took her to a little second hand clothing store we have here. She's still a bit too young for the sizes they have there, but I was hoping she would fit into the extra small. And she did! We found two really cute vests and a cute shirt! (Total spent:$22) But it was a little surreal to wait for her while she tried stuff on. Its fun, and crazy all at the same time!

Soccer Son

Tonight is the last night of a six week stint of Landon playing soccer. He has absolutely loved it! Kyle has been very happy with his coach. We've noticed significant improvement in Landon's skills. By far his favorite new friend is Levi Landers and he hopes to play with him after the season's over. I brought the camera tonight only to realize it didn't have its memory card. So these photos will have to suffice.

Reading with Brooklyn

The library has some PERFECT little starter books that I highly recommend. These: They go over sight words really well, and even Brooklyn can 'read' them.  (And the best part is the way she gets excited and BELIEVES she's reading.  She's actually learning some of the words without knowing it.)  And so I read with her and Jo....each night. The pages read like this:  And then tonight, we read a new one.  This one had me laughing so hard. They say it so inoccently, and sweetly in they're little girl voices. Why didn't the author use DAD instead? Its got an A in it.
