Even though it's a family year for birthdays, Jocelyn was still able to have friends over to play.  She invited Cooper and Taycie.  They had a blast playing despite the numerous times I had to tell them we weren't having cake or ice cream and that they couldn't open any presents.  They hated that, but had a good time nonetheless. When it came time to finally open the presents, I was tickled to see that Grandma Mac had indeed found a girly Thomas the Train.  If you saw the previous post, you know why such a gift would be awesome for her!  She seemed happy to get new socks and a Polly Pocket car from Grandma Betty!  Her new little Strawberry Shortcake dolly {which smells like Strawberries!} fits in the Polly car too!  And Janelle's letter was a real "Blast". This little purse baby was a huge hit for the girls.  But it's Jocelyn's and I have had to stop the fighting over it several times!  How talented to crochet such a gift! ...

These two have been so cute lately.  They have become pretty serious about playing trains together.  For nearly a week, everyday after school, landon would come home and want to play trains with Jocelyn.  Some days they fight like crazy, and other, well they act like this. Best buds. Choo Choo!!!

Landon got a hat for Christmas from us.  But it's possible that Brooklyn wears it more than he does. She was being so cute, playing dolls but when she saw the hat in the bedroom and came out with it on like this, she went from cute to ABSOLUTELY-DARLING-LITTLE-MONKEY! Kyle fell in love all over again.

Can I just say, they are so stinkin' cute? I have to admit though, Jocelyn stole the lime light a bit.  She is the littlest one in the this choir, and so SO SO darling.  The excitement was clearly on her face all night. Until she yawned.  But then the smiles came back! She melted hearts that night.  {At least her grandma's and Kyle and I think so!} Landon was so awesome, and did such a good job singing.  He looks so dashing in his tie!  He stands so still and pays attention to Dana really well.  He always tries hard to not smile but seems like it's killing him to keep his face serious.  It's so funny!  He is such a good boy. Sure, I wish they sang at least one popular song each time, or at least one I know, but I am always impressed with how well my kids pick up the foreign language songs and sing the best they can. Choir has been a great thing for them!

I kept Cate home from school on Wednesday last week.  She said her throat hurt, and she was running a fever.  But then she seemed fine the next day, and then sick the next and fine the day after that.  It was weird.  Finally I took her in, to do a strep test.  The test came back negative.  Until Tuesday, when they called and said the culture test came back positive.  So I took her out of school again.  But she has felt completely fine since Tuesday!! We will do the whole 10 day meds thing, and she hates it.  What's a mom to do!  Boy I tell ya. The hardest part is getting her to realize she is sick despite how great she feels. Then Landon woke up with a sore throat. Great.

 Not only was that so dang cute, but she thinks she's pretty big stuff as she has discovered how to move the chairs around and can now reach the counters.  She is a devil at it too.  Speedy little devil! Her new phrases are : I do it. No, I not. She's fascinated with her body lately too!  She is a stripper.  Taking her clothes off, down to her birthday suit is a new daily routine.  {Today, she did it 5 times.} Sometimes she doesn't get all the way naked...as sometimes I am fast enough to catch her and set her up with a new activity, but sometimes I am not fast enough.  The plus side is that she loves the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.  And she knows a lot of her body's parts. HAND    MOUTH  TONGUE  EAR  BUM  KNEES  HAIR  (shut up. i know there isn't any there.)  TOES  NOSE  ARMPIT  EYES  BELLY BUTTON! Brilliant baby, I say!
