Wrapping Up July

Is that even possible?  I barely took any photos and we did so much, that I'm not confident I can wrap it up. We jumped on the tramp and Grandma Cindy's which was a blast!  From the oldest child to the youngest grandchild.... it was a fun way to play. We had Paula and Emery and Kendra and her kids in town.  WE went to the parade and the fireworks on the 4th of July. Landon and Kyle went to the Father's and Sons outing, while we girls had a Nail party with friends. Jake and Becca got married, and we had fun at their reception. Jocelyn's got her T ball party tonight, and I know she's getting a trophy! We've hit Rigby Lake several times.  The kids LOVE that. New neighbors moved in, just a few doors down: The Thompsons.   The kids were instant friends.  In fact, I think I'll snap a photo of them all together soon! Landon rediscovered Legos. We haven't been able to go camping or anywhere as a family thus far, so we let t...

I like to ride my Bicycle!

New Bikes: July 24th.  Happy Pioneer Day! They seriously ride, every day. I'm not kidding.   Brooklyn usually rides her little tricycle, but it's falling apart.  When we took her to the store to LOOK at bikes, she got on a little bike with training wheels and took off and Kyle and I looked at each other like, "What the heck! She can ride?"  So we got her a new bike, and now she won't ride it.  She's incredibly nervous.  I've helped her a bunch of times, but she's still scared. There isn't anything that could warrant this kind of caution from her, other than we're outside and not in a store.  It's not like she's fallen off yet.  Hopefully, it won't last long. Jocelyn is the only one who didn't get a new bike this year.  Hers was still in pretty good shape- she just needed a new seat and new grips.  Done and done.  She loves those star grips too.  And it made her bike new again, so she's delighted.  ...

Catelyn's Art Work

Catelyn drew a photo of me and her and Swagger.  Look at what an encouraging mother I am! Here's Swagger about to eat her homework, and she's trying to save her homework based on my words of encouragement. It's awesome.

And T Ball Season Comes To An End

Jocelyn sure had a great time playing T ball.  She wore a skirt to nearly every game, and people noticed!  She got lots of comments about it, and even one guy asking if she'd want to play on an all girl's team next year.  It was pretty funny.  Owen coached her team again, along with another, and they were pretty darn cute! Jocelyn has been loving the summer sun just as much as she did last year.  She HATES having her hair done, and there have been days where at least three days has gone by before it sees a comb or pick.  She's a nut and cries like a mad woman if I try to curl it. I made her for photos for T Ball though.  Cause I'm a good mom like that.     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Landon on the other hand, doesn't need a comb or pick or even gel these days.  I accidentally shaved one side to high, and the next thing I new, we just buzzed it off.  he loves it, and usually wants a ...

Eye Spy

I can't believe how fast things have been moving around here.  catelyn's been busy too, playing with new friends (Theron, Logan, and Bree and Catelyn) along with the steady flow of regular friends (Alexa, MaKyra, etc.) She's reading Harry Potter for the first time, working on learning how to make salads, and spending plenty of time in the sun- she totally has tan lines. At the first of July, she met with her new dance coach- Kirsten Helsing- and started learning her new routine for this fall.  She's going to be dancing as a Soloist- and completing as well. We chose "Call Me, Maybe" and we are still working on which other song to choose.  I am thinking "Bicycle", by Queen. She's still nervous around fireworks, but loving Rigby Lake- swimming out far with a life jacket and going on the dock with the slide.  She's loving summer, that's for sure. A few weeks ago, she leaned over to me in church and asked me what the Hymn ...

Kayson Visits!

Oh, yeah!  So, on top of all the crazy, Paula and Kendra, etc, we had Kayson for several days. My parents went to my cousin's wedding in Southern Utah, and on their way home, they stopped at Chad and Courtney's.  They ended up bringing Kayson home with them, and he stayed with us.  This is the ONLY photo I took of them.  See, I mean it, when I say the camera was OFF DUTY. The thing is, Jocelyn wants to play with boys more than girls, MOST of the time.  Not always, because trust me, she loves a good Polly Pocket and Barbie and ballet-dress-up day just like the rest of the girls, but she LOVES playing with Parker and Landon.  Or in this case, Kasyon and Landon. She wanted to have Kayson sleep in her room but so did Landon.  So I let them all sleep in on room, ONCE.  After they got up way to early that next morning, it was back to their own rooms, and Kayson had to sleep in the guest bedroom downstairs.
