Speaking Larsen

This is one of the last times they will get to bathe together....Cate's getting to big, but worse yet, it's a full out splash park for them and too much water ends up on the floor.  But they were being so funny and cute, I had to bust out the camera! We have had blizzard conditions over the last two days---Saturday and Sunday, and despite the freezing temputures, they still wanted to play outside.  Landon was otu there for 2 1/2 hours!  Jocelyn made it 30 minutes.  Good thing our neighbor Gabe wanted to play in the snow as much and for as long as Landon! Then for family home evening on Monday night we wrote thank you letters to people we care about and Landon wrote his to Parker.  He insisted on Tuesday morning, with winds up to 40 miles an hour, I swear, insisted he go deliver his.  I tried for hours to convince him to wait...but he insisted.  He truly is grateful for Parker, I guess. I am not sure what to think about these.  They had Kyle and I laughing out loud at her Parent Teacher Conference.  I am glad in a way that that is how she sees us, as responsible adults, but in some ways it was disappointing to think she thinks we dont' don much else besides what she wrote. Which I don't think is entirely true.  She knows we do a lot of stuff, and perhaps she just choose to write about what she feels we do the most of, at the moment.  And she is right.  I have been reading a lot lately.  Her spelling is AWESOME, and Mrs. Olsen, her teacher, told us that they weren't allowed to ask spelling o this assignment as it was a better testament to their spelling skills in regards to short story writing. These are precious and priceless treasure to have.

 They decided to swim--in the front room with the cushions from the couch.   This is what they came out wearing and then they decided to change,  and I caught Landon in Cate's swimwear. They are so crazy silly.  But it was so hilarious, but who cares. They were having a great time. A while later, when they got dressed again, this was the outfit Jocelyn choose.  I just had to capture her sense of style on camera.   She is such a pink diva.  I probably should have done her hair,  but with an outfit like this, who would notice the hair anyway?

We babysat the triplets, and by we, I mean we.  One baby for each of us to hold.  Until they were done holding babies and then it was up to me to manage all three. You can see that Landon really enjoyed it, and was so sweet as he kept giving Eden her pacifier.  he even got her to sleep on his own!  Can you believe it?  He was mad at me when I went to one of them to pacify him, and Landon declared, "Mom, that's my job!" Okay.  So funny!

See that nice gap between those two front teeth?   It's making it hard for her I-teeth to come in(no room, as you can see!)...and going to cause long term problems.  So we are going to do what is commonly called  2x4 braces.  They anchor the front four teeth to the back two molars and straighten those out.  She'll wear headgear at nights starting in a month or two. And in a month or two she will get to have colored elastics instead of wires.  In fact, for the next 6 weeks we only anchored the fur together, and didn't brace them to the molars.  Good thing Dr. Johnson knows what he is doing, cause wouldn't have a clue. Amanda, who has been helping Cate and assisting from the start is one of our favorite gals in the office. All of the staff are nice and fun, and easy to talk too.  But we really like Amanda, and we keep spoiling her with Bubbalicious bubble gum, her favorite No-No, but don't tell Dr. Johnson.  Though he knows and he does ...
