Speaking Larsen

Well, first things first.  We made the most impromptu trip to Boise, on Tuesday Oct 23. You see, Kyle grew up in Meridian, but had his house faced south he would've been a Boise resident. Anyway, growing in there, the Boise temple was his 'home' temple, and now that it's been under construction for nearly 2 years, he was eager to go see the major renovations. Timing is everything and we were able to go.  I was on the phone in the car headed to Boise making arrangements for things I was going to be unable to take care of because of it! The kids LOVED the temple.  It was an experience filled with hushed whispers and questions, smiles and oohs and ahhhs. I feel great gratitude that we were able to show the children the inside of the temple, and remove some of their curiosity.  The girls loved the Bride's room, and everyone was mesmerized by the chandeliers. Sad to leave the Sand Dunes! Loving the Fairies! We brought her this little Disney fairy from Charlotte, and when the new fairy move came out- the Secret of the Wings- I caved without so much as a bat of an eyelash and bought it!  Even I love it! Our little Jocelyn's been really busy with school- and her handwriting has improved so much it's amazing!  She's been angry that I made her join the 'baby' dance class, but she keeps going anyway, and it's not a baby class.  It's for 3 to 5 year olds.  She just happens to be the oldest in the class.  But she and Brooklyn get to dance together, which I think is cute! She has a new friend, Paige, that I've mentioned  before.  This is her.  They are new BFFs and it's the cutest! She's loving everything about kindergarten, even the homework!  And I think she wishes she were in the musical with us, because she sings all the songs and knows all the words. We've got a Cavity Free Reading Girl who Sings We're Off to See the Wizard  in our house! We are seeing improvement!  This cute girls attitude is improving every day!  While she still has meltdowns, she's getting better at rational thinking, less whining and complaining, and is overall acting HAPPIER!  I do not know why, but she is and we love her all the more for it! We got her a purple jacket on our trip to Charlotte.  She was the only one not to get a toy, and we couldn't have done better.  She still loves dolls, don't get me wrong, but this girl also loves clothes! And hair.  The girl's got great hair! She seems to be thoroughly enjoying the Wizard of Oz and being a munchkin.  She has the songs in her head and heart all the time now, and can be found humming or singing them non-stop!
