Speaking Larsen

Lately we have been going out on walks as a family. We are getting to be pretty avid about it actually. Jocelyn likes to ride in the stroller, most of the time, and Cate and Landon ride their bikes. It's been good practice for them. That is why we started going, initially. This time we ventured outside of our neighborhood and loaded the kids bikes into the Kyles' van and drove over to Red Rock subdivision. Well his van isn't inconspicuous. All the neighbors who could see the van or drove by it know we were there. We had A BLAST! It's so fun to visit with your friends while you walk around. We saw Cortnie and Wray as they were just aobut to leave for the weekend. We talked to Tiffany and Josie upon arrival and then again for a long while, with Josh and then the Beans joined us and we even got a ride on Ryan's motorcycle. This is one of the many reasons I love summer! Red Rock seemed like a more outdoor friendly then our neighborhood, but it could have just...

Here is a layout I did of BJ when he was home for leave before his Tour. Catelyn's birthday gifts, above. And when we got our sprinklers in Kyle said he would pay the kids to pull the flags out when their were done, and they did. And I think he still "owes" them money for it. Jocelyn, along with the other kids, always has to have a messy photo when spaghetti is on the Menu! One big problem I have right now that should be remedied soon, is that I DESPERATELY need a album. I have so many pages without protectors or an album...I ordered a bunch from Kara and hope they get here soon! I feel like my layouts are a crazy mess right now!

"Does Jesus know it's Dad's birthday?" "How does Jesus hear our prayers?...............Does he have a micophone?" "How does Bishop get our money to Jesus?" Interestingly enough her questions of are usually about God or Jesus or some realm of unknown to her. She never asks me questions like Why is grass green? or Why do birds fly? What a good little thinker she is!

I am never one to do things the way everyone else does them. I know it. So instead of having Bell Photographers take pictures of Cate for T-Ball, I just took my own. We did order a group shop from Bell, but only because it was easier that way. I I am really happy with these two of Cate. They aren't just your posed and forced shot, not that that is bad, but they are all Cate. She choose how she would pose in the picture and I let her. She is more relaxed and natural when I do this with her, then if I tell her how to pose. I do have to always tel her to look at me, and sometimes she does. I am sure as she ages she will start looking into the camera better. I HOPE MY KIDS NEVER GO THROUGH A SHY CAMERA PHASE! IT WOULD BE TORTURE FOR ME!

Every day was super busy! Tuesday started off with cleaning and Chad and Courtney coming early. (Thanks again Chelsie for the help!) Wednesday we hung out, make cookies, created a blog for Courtney (that I have my suspicions she'll never use) and then prepping for the airport event. ("Janelle, you're not his girlfriend!" and "Gina, your'e not his girlfriend" were phrases spoken as Janelle and I fretted over what to wear.) We went to the airport after decorating the fence at home with balloons. Everybody waited anxiously as he (with Mom and Dad) got of the plane. Then the hugs began as he entered the room, looking no different than he had when he left. Though we all swear he IS taller! And so thin! Kyle and Chad bought pizzas for us all to eat as we sat around the house, squished as we were, to look at a slide show on the TV as Blake narrated some of his favorite things about Sendai, and we all died with laughter when we leared about squatters. We saw oON...

Well, Blake got off the airplane yesterday after serving a mission in Japan yesterday, and boy! that was awesome! A little later after Catelyn had had some time to soak in that she had another uncle around, I ask her what she thought of Blake. Her reply: "He's great. And handsome." "Yes, he is, Catelyn." was my reply.

I am not sure where he picked these two little sayings of his up, but here they are: 1. If someone farts or burps and they say "Excuse me." Landon corrects that person by saying, "No, toot you." 2. If Landon is thristy, right now he says it by saying, "Mom, I drinky."
