The Land of the Free....and The Home of The Brave!!!

Sweet Brooklyn is getting bigger by the day, and she is starting to giggle. First real smiles started at 8 weeks to the day! And the last week has been filled with almost-really-there giggles. She is such an amazing combination of her siblings in looks too! It's insane!

Still hanging on to that paci--Jocelyn was pretty freaked out at the loud bottle rockets my cousins were lighting off. I am just glad that it keeps her calm and happy for now.

Rock out! Landon seemed to enjoy watching us all do Rock Band like we were really all famous.

Just chillin' in Grandma's arms....everyone held you but me I swear!

What is up there??? I am still not sure!

She ate the Dutch Oven chicken and then, like a true Pack went back for seconds....

This is such a funny photo to me. She was covered in that icing...but regardless of that...what are they talking about??

After having been twice bitten by Piper, Debra and Mont's dog, Landon is very nervous around dogs now, and though Piper has to wear a muzzle now around us, Landon is still scared. He sat next to Dean for about a half hour before he felt safe to walk around. Poor kid, he loves being at Debbie's house so much too!

While waiting for the air gun warriors, we snapped a shot of the cute girl and the massive tire!

All fun and games for us at the parade...the candy, the sunglasses, the cups we got! Kyle told me two young boys were shot at the parade this year while trying to sell water for Scouts. What a nightmare...and seriously somebody catch that guy.

Did you just laugh out loud?? I did when I caught these two snuggled up watching a Dora together. And then snapped just as she turned to see what I was up to!

These giant sized sports balls were a major hit at the Muckleroy Party. What a blast my kids had! And the fireworks were so great! My kids were nervous at first, but ended up enjoying the fireworks show and the food was good, and the company better. It was a great night!

So, there we have it. Our 4th of July for this year has come and gone....until next 2010! Because next year, we are lighting off a few of our own fireworks!

Don't you just love the 4th, and baby giggles even more.
Looks like you guys had a busy day.

We should get together again soon and BBQ.

If you guys have any fireworks left you should bring them over and we'll combine ours. We'll have our own pyro show!

The Opposite of Christmas Morning

We are having the opposite of Christmas morning at our house.  No toys.  We have one of these for storing toys: And several of these for the same reason: And last night the kids thought dumping them out for the sake of dumping toys would be fun.  This is a major rule breaker in our home.  I have had problems with this in the past, (even Mykalee knows this) and i have told them if it happens again, all the toys will disappear. And last night, after I found out what they had done, the toys have been grounded.  FOR A WEEK.  I hope it's as devastating as possible, so that they will learn I am serious when it comes to dumping toys out. {Also, Brooklyn is the only one who is exempt from this, as she was in bed.  Innocent.} On a side note, we did get the kids this on Friday.  It was time.  They seem to love it.

Breaking News: Brooklyn

Nothing like getting a sharp poke in the ear. Especially when you're two and an half and ASK for it. When Brooklyn was a baby I went to have her ears done, but decided to hold off, since her one ear lobe was so tiny, and her ears were very different in size. So I waited. For her to grow into her ears. And to grow some hair. Still waiting on the hair part, so earrings seemed like a great idea. She asked for them, and since we both wanted them, we went and got them. She picked out a pair, and viola, it was done. She said, "Owwwww!" once, and then laughed when the lady gave her a sucker and began modeling for me and Kyle.  All to show off her new earrings! Yup, seriously, she loves them.  It's pretty stinking cute.  She is constantly telling me, each time we clean and rotate them, "Mom, never take them out, 'kay?" Okay. Deal. And I did mention that we are waiting on some hair, but some is sprouting. So we're hopeful! See, she...
