The Larsen Family Reunion 2012

We played Bingo, and swam and ate, and swam and played games and rode in a cool snowmobile like bus, and ate and swam!  This year we stayed in the Presidential Suite, and can I just tell you, it's bigger than my house?  Seriously, it was.  It was so spacious and comfortable and luxurious.  It was pretty great.

The kids had a grand time, and I think hands down their favorite parts include swimming and bingo, but when we towed them behind the Tahoe on their sleds, I haven't heard so much laughter out of all four them before.  That was pretty fun!  It did make me wish for more snow here for about 10 seconds.

Catelyn enjoyed learning to float on her back with Grandma's undivided attention.
Landon still loves to jump off the side and swim around like fish.
Jocelyn has become a fish this year, fearless in her life jacket.
And Brooklyn is learning to navigate in a life jacket, and very scared of it.  But Kyle worked with her and she slowing started warming up to the idea of jumping to him and having him let go of her.  Every time he did she was fine until she realized he'd let go and she was on her own.  But it was progress.

And thanks Kyle, for snapping at least one picture of me, proof that I was there!

Okay, I find I don't comment as much on your blogs as I should bc they come to my e-mail and I don't take the time to switch back to your actual blog and comment.

Anywho- cute kids! I can't believe your youngest is about to turn 3! Where does the time go?

I'm jealous you got to stay in a suite bigger than your house. With Scott's fam the condo is TINY. Smaller than our 1st little starter home. We definitely feel the closeness!
We sure missed being there!!! Glad you all had fun!

The Opposite of Christmas Morning

We are having the opposite of Christmas morning at our house.  No toys.  We have one of these for storing toys: And several of these for the same reason: And last night the kids thought dumping them out for the sake of dumping toys would be fun.  This is a major rule breaker in our home.  I have had problems with this in the past, (even Mykalee knows this) and i have told them if it happens again, all the toys will disappear. And last night, after I found out what they had done, the toys have been grounded.  FOR A WEEK.  I hope it's as devastating as possible, so that they will learn I am serious when it comes to dumping toys out. {Also, Brooklyn is the only one who is exempt from this, as she was in bed.  Innocent.} On a side note, we did get the kids this on Friday.  It was time.  They seem to love it.

Breaking News: Brooklyn

Nothing like getting a sharp poke in the ear. Especially when you're two and an half and ASK for it. When Brooklyn was a baby I went to have her ears done, but decided to hold off, since her one ear lobe was so tiny, and her ears were very different in size. So I waited. For her to grow into her ears. And to grow some hair. Still waiting on the hair part, so earrings seemed like a great idea. She asked for them, and since we both wanted them, we went and got them. She picked out a pair, and viola, it was done. She said, "Owwwww!" once, and then laughed when the lady gave her a sucker and began modeling for me and Kyle.  All to show off her new earrings! Yup, seriously, she loves them.  It's pretty stinking cute.  She is constantly telling me, each time we clean and rotate them, "Mom, never take them out, 'kay?" Okay. Deal. And I did mention that we are waiting on some hair, but some is sprouting. So we're hopeful! See, she...
