Speaking Larsen

We got Lynn and Cindy tickets to see Mary Poppins in West Yellowstone, at the Playmill Theater, for Christmas 2014. The show was scheduled for June 8th. It felt like it was a million years away at the time, and it did seem to take a long time to cash in on such a gift, but it was worth it! It's been months since it happened, and we still remember what gave them for Christmas. The kids still remember that Christmas gift. There's stuff to look at left and right, and up and down. Seriously, it's the most beautiful place. A show here is always delightful and entertaining. We drove up to West, and went into the park. It was a rewarding day on top of being with family, because we saw a black bear! The park was teaming with wildlife, bursting at the seams with foliage and life, and melting snow that gushed and flowed. There were lots of baby bison, too. I honestly have no idea if I blogged this--I can't find anything. Brooklyn was asked to memorize a Shel Silverstien poem: SICK for graduation. She did such a great job reciting it, though it took us a month to get it memorized. She loved having Mrs. Davenport, and since that woman taught all four kids Kindergarden stuff, she has a special place in all our hearts! I ended up buying Brooklyn matching shoes, and she's so silly all the time. On the last day of school, she recited her poem once more for her class, and snuck in to take a photo. Some day we'll look back and wonder how she grew up so fast, because somehow she is growing up faster than the other kids did. Congrats, Brooklyn on moving on to first grade! WE LOVE YOU!

We are having a great Easter! While we are reflecting on the resurrection of Christ, we're also enjoying spending time together as a family! Chad and Courtney, and their children, along with Blaine, Paula, and Emery are here. On top of that, Grandma Betty is, too! We are all hanging out at Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Lynn's house. Last night, we had sweet and sour chicken while the kids spent over an hour playing Come to Court*, and the adults were making silly videos and laughing a lot. Today we had our own Easter egg hunt, and we'll spend the rest of the day hanging out, and nibbling on fruited chicken salad and croissants. And Easter candy! Tomorrow will spend some time watching the bi-annual LDS Conference, having ham and funeral potatoes, and more Easter candy! Catelyn is officially twelve! We can't quite believe it.  She was just this tiny chubby baby yesterday, I swear. Cliche' I know, but it's true. She's had a week of celebration, too. On Saturday, we took her and MaKyra to see Into The Woods. Meh. I think she liked it, but we're all kinda wishing we would've gone to see the new Cinderella. Oh well. We ran MaKyra home, but instead of going home, we took Catelyn shoe shopping. After that, she got to pick where we went to eat, and she chose Olive Garden. Kinda love her a little more for it, too. By the time we got home it was almost ten, I think. Sunday afternoon Cate met with the bishop--hahah!--and received her Personal Progress book and her first temporary recommend. So cool! This girl has a habit of stealing my phone and taking selfies.  Now, this first shot, I did take, but the rest, are all her. Her birthday is coming up! She's pretty excited!

Over the last few months, my kids have taken some funny photos, or I've caught something on camera, and it's time to share some of those. This one didn't want to watch Cate's tooth extraction. Love notes from Brooklyn. So gat! (great) The hoodie that just won't die. New pants. $8 So cute. Feb. 9, 2015. It was warm enough for t-shirts, shorts, and fudgesicles. Valentine's Party!  This one is IN LOVE with fake glass from the dollar store. She wears them everyday! Valentine's weekend--All the Pack Cousins! I am so glad that my kids feel this way. I think Jocelyn wrote this one.

Squirrel, Tea Cup, Cake Plate, Jasmine, Alice in Wonderland Butterfly/Caterpillar, and an UmpaLoompa The kids and I were asked to show off some costumes that a friend of ours made over the years for the IFYAC and we were happy to do it! We brought Emery along and had a great time walking up on to stage, modeling, and then walking off stage. Why not get dressed up like it's Halloween in February?
