Christmas Gift in June

We got Lynn and Cindy tickets to see Mary Poppins in West Yellowstone, at the Playmill Theater, for Christmas 2014. The show was scheduled for June 8th.

It felt like it was a million years away at the time, and it did seem to take a long time to cash in on such a gift, but it was worth it! It's been months since it happened, and we still remember what gave them for Christmas. The kids still remember that Christmas gift.

There's stuff to look at left and right, and up and down.

Seriously, it's the most beautiful place.
A show here is always delightful and entertaining.

We drove up to West, and went into the park. It was a rewarding day on top of being with family, because we saw a black bear! The park was teaming with wildlife, bursting at the seams with foliage and life, and melting snow that gushed and flowed. There were lots of baby bison, too. Also, Grandma Cindy had to be a rebel and lean over the boardwalk to touch the water, to see if it really was hot. She's luck she didn't fall in, and can you believe! What an example she is to her grandkids! ♥♥♥

The Opposite of Christmas Morning

We are having the opposite of Christmas morning at our house.  No toys.  We have one of these for storing toys: And several of these for the same reason: And last night the kids thought dumping them out for the sake of dumping toys would be fun.  This is a major rule breaker in our home.  I have had problems with this in the past, (even Mykalee knows this) and i have told them if it happens again, all the toys will disappear. And last night, after I found out what they had done, the toys have been grounded.  FOR A WEEK.  I hope it's as devastating as possible, so that they will learn I am serious when it comes to dumping toys out. {Also, Brooklyn is the only one who is exempt from this, as she was in bed.  Innocent.} On a side note, we did get the kids this on Friday.  It was time.  They seem to love it.

Catelyn--The Birthday Girl!

She knew.  I told her that she was getting a dress for her 8th birthday.  We tried some on, and fell in LOVE with the one we ended up surprising her with!  Doesn't she look too grown up?   I teared up as I watched 12 more years flash before my eyes as I saw her in this mini-wedding dress.  But it was the one for her.  We knew it. With Grandpa Dean's passing, we received special permission {which Kyle didn't like to have to ask for, because in the church handbook, it specifically says "Members should not ask for special permission to baptize their children. . .blah, blah blah....*Oh!! not that I am making fun of the handbook.  I just don't what it says exactly* I argued back that this was a rare exception, and we should at least ask. {Also, not as rare as I thought-- as I found out Friday night -March 18- that the family who had a viewing going at the same time as ours, at Coltrin's, had a baptism and a funeral in the same day as well! ...
