Jocelyn's turns 7!

2014 is the year of friend birthdays. Meaning our family party is pretty chill and we just do something chill with a friend or two. And Jocelyn invited Paige to join us at iJump. We had a great time, and I'm glad we took her--it was Jocelyn's first time! They were silly and played dodge ball for FOREVER! We are so glad to have her in our lives, and for her sweet friend Paige too! They are a fun duo and make us laugh all the time.

Landon Shovels

This kid cracks me up. I told him he could go shovel and he actually did it. And he did an awesome job of if! Proud momma. And boy was Kyle impressed, too. Way to go, Landon. It's possible I have blogged this a few times. I don't care. I love this memory.

Blaine and Paula's Wedding Week-Kid's Account

On Monday, Jan 14th, Kyle, Brooklyn, and I took for Utah for his work, but on the way home, we brought some cousins. Everyone was skipping school and going to spend some time together! And boy, did we! This was going to be a surprise arrival. And it was! We had ample snacks at regularly scheduled times. Not. We braved a 'restaurant' with 7 kids. If you can call Chuck-A-Rama that. These two were peas in a pod. And she's getting a little to old to hang out with the cousins non-stop, so she went to school for a half day each day, and when the aunts arrived, she upgraded from kids to kool-schmool. Now, somewhere in there we had a bridal shower, and went to a rehearsal wedding and dinner, and then went to a wedding, but they only remember playing a lot, waking up early, staying up way to late, dancing like crazy people at the reception and closing their eyes when Blaine kissed Paula. I think. I guess I should check with them, but that's my ...

My Settlers

Over Thanksgiving we taught these two how to play Settlers of Catan... and boy did they pick up on it fast! And not only did they grasp the rules and such, they fell in love with it. We have has a great time playing with them. I love that they're getting big time enough for this kind of stuff!

Wrapping Up 2013

You stuck with nothing more than photos and captions. Sorry! We had a LATE NIGHT with the Ward's and it was absolute riot! The little girls were here, and they owned the night! The boys all went to Kambria's and the older girls went to Ward's and it was perfect! On many occasions you can find this posse  owning the streets of Azure and Prism. Even our next door neighbor Shane hangs out with the girls. Sure, he prefers playing with Landon and Gabe and Parker, but the pink posse works too. We hit the Art Festival down on the river and made a whole bunch of crafts. And played the drums. Right before School started, I had to get the first bulletin board up at the school. I had help! We soaked in as much sun as we possibly could. Who needs training wheels? Not Brooklyn. Or Jocelyn! Seriously, this crowd! And this one. We own the fun in the summer. Just sayin'. School started, and left this one behind. ...

Canada Trip

In NOvember, my grandpa passed away, and we made a quick trip to Calgary. My kids love my cousins. And we snapped a few photos of them togehter. Except for Landon.  I wish I could tel you where he was every time I pulled out the camera....but I can't.  He was probably off playing. This is Shanna, and she's got a good hold on these two.  They love her! And this is Grandpa John.  He is my mom's dad. This is Shelby, and she actually pulled out Catelyn's last tooth while we were there.  They have a cute little bond now because of it. Headed home.
