Wrapping Up 2013

You stuck with nothing more than photos and captions. Sorry!

We had a LATE NIGHT with the Ward's and it was absolute
riot! The little girls were here, and they owned the night!

The boys all went to Kambria's and the older girls went to Ward's
and it was perfect!

On many occasions you can find this posse
owning the streets of Azure and Prism.

Even our next door neighbor Shane hangs out with the girls.
Sure, he prefers playing with Landon and Gabe and Parker, but the pink posse works too.

We hit the Art Festival down on the river and made a whole bunch of crafts.

And played the drums.

Right before School started, I had to get the first bulletin board
up at the school. I had help!

We soaked in as much sun as we possibly could.

Who needs training wheels?
Not Brooklyn.

Or Jocelyn!

Seriously, this crowd!

And this one.

We own the fun in the summer.
Just sayin'.

School started, and left this one behind.
She and I hit the fair in the early mornings and she went back to taking
a nap for a brief week.

Like I said, FAIR TIME!

And Ice Cream!

Then I had surgery and I got a FANCY NEW NURSE!

She even snuggled with me sometimes!

This is Brooklyn's friend Kayla, who's mother
is my good friend, who took us grocery shopping when I was well enough to go.
She pushed the cart for me and everything because I couldn't, and Brooklyn
and Kayla helped by handing us everything we needed.

And Grandma Betty sends cards, just because she's awesome.

Brooklyn's best friend really is Peyton.

Landon needed another dentist appointment.
He had a very painful tooth coming in, but we didn't know what was
causing the pain, so we had to go check it out. Nothing big.
Just needed to loose a tooth, and he did.

And he's off! This kid reads like crazy! We love it!

School might be in full swing, but it's still warm enough for FroYo!

Kyle and I hit Subway sometimes, with the kids in school, and take these two on occasion.

Miss Jo's hair's goal is to be like Rapunzel.
Can't blame her. She has the best head of hair!
Evah!

This girl! She's suddenly taken to having a million stuffed animals
in bed with her. She sleeps so soundly, I was able to turn the light on
to take this photo. She also likes looking at books!

September 2013
This girl doesn't let me shoot enough photos of her anymore,
She's getting too big! I can't believe she's going into 5th grade.

Mr. Landon still loves Legos. And  his imagination continues to blossom.
There is always time for a dog pile at the end of any given day, too.

That's it. 2013 in a quick post! Sheesh. I used to be so good at this blogging thing.

The Opposite of Christmas Morning

We are having the opposite of Christmas morning at our house.  No toys.  We have one of these for storing toys: And several of these for the same reason: And last night the kids thought dumping them out for the sake of dumping toys would be fun.  This is a major rule breaker in our home.  I have had problems with this in the past, (even Mykalee knows this) and i have told them if it happens again, all the toys will disappear. And last night, after I found out what they had done, the toys have been grounded.  FOR A WEEK.  I hope it's as devastating as possible, so that they will learn I am serious when it comes to dumping toys out. {Also, Brooklyn is the only one who is exempt from this, as she was in bed.  Innocent.} On a side note, we did get the kids this on Friday.  It was time.  They seem to love it.

Breaking News: Brooklyn

Nothing like getting a sharp poke in the ear. Especially when you're two and an half and ASK for it. When Brooklyn was a baby I went to have her ears done, but decided to hold off, since her one ear lobe was so tiny, and her ears were very different in size. So I waited. For her to grow into her ears. And to grow some hair. Still waiting on the hair part, so earrings seemed like a great idea. She asked for them, and since we both wanted them, we went and got them. She picked out a pair, and viola, it was done. She said, "Owwwww!" once, and then laughed when the lady gave her a sucker and began modeling for me and Kyle.  All to show off her new earrings! Yup, seriously, she loves them.  It's pretty stinking cute.  She is constantly telling me, each time we clean and rotate them, "Mom, never take them out, 'kay?" Okay. Deal. And I did mention that we are waiting on some hair, but some is sprouting. So we're hopeful! See, she...
