Speaking Larsen

Whew!  Where to even begin with the last two weeks of Cate's busy life!  She was in the IFYAC Summer Theater Program, and for 9 days she went to teh Civic for camp, four hours each day.  During all this time, they rehearsed adn rehearsed Disney's Aladdin Jr.  (A shortened version of the regular Aladdin.) They learned all teh fun songs and dance moves and the kids who were leads did a really fabulous job, espcially since they aged 8 to 14 years old.  I thought the little gal who played the Genie, stole the show, she was so awesome. Cate was darling to watch, and got into it.  She made new friends, and had a fabulous time.  She has been constantly singing songs from Aladdin and full of spunk in regards to the show. We are so proud of her, and the hard work she put into being in the show!

Got sick.  Not a fun way to spend a Sunday. Brooklyn got a weird rash, one that we can only assume was 5th, and it moved from her face to her arms to her legs....and then came a fever and then she was better, and then she wasn't...and it went on for a while.  Dr. Lindsay Sewell took a look at her, and has been to keep tabs on her, as she rode it out.  We were out of the clear I thought, until last week she climbed up on my lap at Mac and Kelly's at 6 pm and was burning hot and said, "Mom, I's tired."  She nearly fell asleep right there. She had a fairly rough night, and I decided somewhere between her cries, to not go to church the next day, even though I was supposed to be subbing for someone, but what can you do?  Kyle had assignments in another ward, and thus, we didn't get up for church.  Well, I did, to make a few calls to let the SS President know, but other than that, we all slept.  And the kids got up around 8:30 and I made them be extra...

Summer suits our little Jocelyn way to well.  Though she is the worst at shutting the door behind her.  She seems to love the outdoors, especially the trampoline and her swim suit.  When ti came time for fireworks, she wasn't scared at all.  And that night, when we went, she FELL ASLEEP.  I even tried to wake her up, but she snoozed through it all.  Then woke up to go home.  But it was more than she could handle, and fell asleep in the car.  Silly goose. She is loving the Popsicles and loved T Ball, and is a happy girl.  Though, she does have a hot HOT temper and when she's all mad, she scratches and tries biting.  She can be so mean, and we are working on that, but as the third baby and being only four, she has a way's to go still. Despite her attitude, she is full of life and is often found singing or dancing.  Most of the time she is singing a song she has made up.  It's hilarious to listen too, and we're so glad sh...

He has learned he can get people out.  Watch out! Throw that ball home, boy! Got the ball, now run to the base.  The poor kid was out! Got the ball again.  Running to first. The sideline coach screams to run, but Landon is so fast!  Will Landon beat the runner? And the hit the base....My! My!  Well is he safe or not? As you can see, the Umpire calls it, and Landon get's his second out for the game! Now up to bat...the boy takes his time, hitting it hard...aiming for third base.  He runs! And makes it to first base with ease! After successfully running all the bases and not getting out, he give his awesome coach a high five, and sits on the bench to enjoy the rest of the game! G O W I L D T H I N G S ! Oh yeah, this month, while I wasn't watching, the kid learned to maneuver the monkey bars.  Devil.

Since surgery, I admittedly haven't been a good blogger on the kids blog.  Sad, I know!' These are some random photos taken this month, many of which I think they snapped themselves while I was high on my drugs and resting during recovery.... Granted, a few I did take, before surgery.  Like Cate with Gabrielle!  And you can now see how bald Brooklyn really is! Other than that, they are just summer photos from the month of June! My kids have to wait until it's at least 75* degrees to play in the water.  and this summer, it's taken a long time to get heat.  but they have been watching the thermostat like crazy and when it hit a meager 75*, despite the 30 mph wind, they insisted in playing in the water. Lasted about 20 minutes. They wanted towels and a warm bath immediately after. Can't blame them. They have been such good sports during this whole month of t-ball and mom's surgery.  Helpers sometimes, and good to just go play, even if it's no...

MAY 29, 2011 THE HAIR CUT I thought I would hold off on this, until I had an after shot, but she has decided to scream at me every time I suggest or think about bringing the camera out.  Oh well.  It's gone.  What little she had, it's gone.  But, she looks great, and we keep trying to get her to say, "I'm smooth baby" while running her hand over her bald head.  But she won't do that either.  it's all about her, has to be her way, her idea, her decision. Just like the rest of us.

Please note the exceptional use of quotation marks!  Priceless! Little heartbreaker!  I LOVE THIS KID! I love that he said he was his own best friend...but did draw a picture of himself! Graduating from Kindergarten was a pretty big deal for our little man!  He was so proud of himself---see that smile on his face as he marches down the aisle to the front of the room??  So cute!  He got really good grades, can read pretty well for his age, and loved his teacher, Mrs. Davenport and Mr. Marlowe.  He is so excited to be in first grade! Over the weekend, along with graduating, he lost another tooth, and spent a lot of time building with Legos. He loves those things!
