Giddy Up!

They were so funny as they headed out the door for school, dressed in cowboy get up!  Our neighbor's daughter was doing the cowboy thing too, so the three of them were pretty funny! Of course then the little girls wanted to get dressed up too!  So I did them up and took a few pics too.  I thought it was so cute that Brooklyn was eager to touch Jo Jo just like Jo Jo was with Landon two years ago!

"Monkey" is putting it lightly

When you saw this, you panicked, right? And it certainly added another wrinkle to this mother's forehead. And then when I told her NO! , and that she must GET DOWN and IT'S NOT SAFE ....   I got this:

Jocelyn's Teeth

Jocelyn--laid back about the whole idea of going to the dentist.  She had three surface cavities, and with a little gas, we were able to fix them and fill them without having to numb her up.  She was a total trooper. I was so proud of how well she kept her mouth open, and for so long!   Hopefully we won't have to visit the dentist any time too soon again.  We owe enough money to them, they could easily buy an island.

BAD MOM, BAD MOM.

So today I took Landon in to the doctor for Pink Eye, which turns out is usually a virus infection and not bacteria.  Anyway, I asked if they could tell me if Brooklyn needed shots.  And would it put them out if she did need them, could we do it since we were there.  Sure.  She did need them, and she got them, and tears flowed. But THEN, Dr. Veber says this to me: Did you realize that you haven't brought Brooklyn in for any well baby check ups since she was six months old? Gasp.  No.  I had no idea. She encouraged me to get that scheduled, implying that she didn't have time to do right them, which sucks, but whatever. So I got home, and was thinking about it and how is it even possible that I haven't taken her in?  Am I that negligent of her well baby checkups?  Don't I care for her needs as much as I did with my first baby? So I called the Ped Center and asked them to give me a the list of visits she has had.  See for yourself. ...

18 Already.

YESTERDAY, SHE WAS 18 MONTHS!    I would have blgoged it yesterday, but we were busy playing Jackson Hole and driving through Yellowstone and Teton National Parks.  So, that post will wait a day or so, while I revel in the glory that is Brooklyn. * Brooklyn loves to say no !  And I mean, no .  She is so funny about it, but sometimes, it's just not funny anymore. It is by far, her No. 1 word right now.  Not in a mean way or anything, but just in her sweet little way.  It's so much cuter coming off her lips than anyone else's. * Brooklyn has a long list of word s, mostly we hear no, which I mentioned, but she says a lot of things and can communicate pretty well what she thinks and wants. * Brooklyn loves her babies and pushing a stroller around.  Just like her older sisters did at her age! * Brooklyn toddles around like nobody's business.  She is fast too.  I swear I can't keep up with her to save my life!  She makes a me...

First Dentist Trip

And we have 3 surface cavities.  Boo.  Quite the pre-Halloween treat! Jocelyn did great - though all we did was basically took a good look at her little bitty baby teeth.  The 3 cavities are pretty surface-y  (Yup, I am pretty sure that's not a real dental term. Perhaps if Ethney reads this she can clue me in to what term would be more suitable.) and he doesn't think we will need to drill her or cause her pain.  So we are going to try to do them without numbin' her up or anything and using just a bit of laughing gas.  we will see in a few weeks!

TWINS!

Catelyn and Ila Seriously, these two girls are so funny!  Proof that great minds do think alike: Arin (Ila's mom) and I bought the girls a few things for school that were exactly the same, or darn near close to it without knowing it until a few weeks into school.  Well, the girls knew about the matching lunch boxes on day one....  Matching shirts, check.  Matching Levis, check. Matching Lunch boxes, check.  The same shoes, slightly different shades of pink, check. They love being twins.  (Least that's how they see themselves.)
