Speaking Larsen

♥ Brooklyn 's cut her two front teeth (June 14-16), but it's only now that you can see them! ♥ She has a fetish for the dishwasher, toilet, and the drawer where all the wipes and diapers are.   She will not leave them alone! ♥ She loves being outside.  She is so good to just stay right on the steps or meander around the yard with the kids.  Brooklyn throws an absolute fit if you make her come in, and  it's intensified if the kids are still out and she can't stay with them. ♥ She really like Popsicles, and insists on having one with the other kids.   (The same temper tantrum comes to life if she doesn't get one when they do.) ♥ She seems to enjoy the water park.   we have only been once, but she liked it plenty. ♥ She has taken to the fake cell phones we have, constantly caring one around saying "HI" and "BYE".   She also says "yah" in a real breathy way and answers this "yah" to questions like  "Are you done?...

Joeclyn loved camping too.  Guess they all would like to do more as the summer progresses.  She held the baby rabbit for a minute.  If you ask her, she will tell you her favorite part was that baby rabbit.  Too cute!   Jo Jo ate way to many marshmallows and asked to go to bed around 9:30.   She must be the funniest little girl in the world, as I have often wondered, and what kid would want to go to bed when camping?!?!  But she did.  And happily!  The others did too, but they didn't ask to go.  Makes a difference. In trying to take a lot of photos of camping I didn't capture to many of my kids.  In fact, what you see here is, is all I got of them.  Oh well!

Catelyn's never shy of the camera, but this weekend while camping she wasn't in sight anywhere.  She was on that hill.  Just like the other kids.  Guess where Jo Jo was the whole time too. . . . Catelyn seemed to enjoy camping as much as Landon.  She didn't want to hold the baby rabbit, but she liked to pet it.  She slept the latest, and probably only woke up because the camp site was getting pretty loud.  She loved roasting marshmallows and playing with her friends.  It was quite a great time.

Landon ate (with some of his best friends he said!) and then disappeared  (don't panic.  I didn't loose the kid.  He dissappeared like every other kid that night).   He spent nearly ever second on this crazy hill in the middle of the "forest". I didn't get a photo of him on that hill, but I promise he was around it the whole time.  The dirt in his hair, nails, teeth, nose and shoes proved it. He told me about ten times, "Mom, I am having the best time." or some version of that.   I believe he did have a great time.  He was so happy and didn't even complain about going to bed in the pop-up! He truly loved the idea of being out side camping.  In the morning we found a baby rabbit.  He even held it! It was truly a fun way to spend a Friday night!

She loved it.  'Til it was time to sleep.  I don't know what happened but at 12:30 when we went to bed she lost it.  freaked out.  So I put her in the car, as to help contain the screaming, and she fell asleep in her car seat within about 20 minutes.  And there she stayed the rest of the night.  Our kids were some of the last to wake up, thankfully.   Before bedtime though, Brooklyn enjoyed the camp chairs a lot and the food and mooching off people's plates.  She steered clear from the fire and was really truly genuinely happy all evening.  It was perfect.

Catelyn started out as a timid ball player but she is improving quite a bit.  She is moving faster and throwing harder, though she still runs like I did as a kid.  Girly. We are so proud of her, and we know that she is meant to do great things over the next few years and perhaps baseball will be one of them, but I think she might excel in dance or music.  Time will tell!  Until then, we are enjoying the team of friends (esp. Ila!) and look forward to the treats at the end of each game!

We took off to Utah to visit chad and Courtney, and participate in blessing Sawyer.  We are so grateful to have Sawyer here, safe and sound.  What a lucky family we are to have him!   We borrowed the Tahoe and enjoyed the kids watching movies in the car with their headphones.  It was a pretty nice ride down and back!  It was a fun weekend, until about Sunday afternoon, when I came down with a stomach bug.  I survived it as I WATCHED the gang eat at Tepanyaki's.  The kids were *eating* it up!  the fire and the show of chopping and cooking our food was so entertaining to them.  They really liked it.   You can see they managed to even use chopsticks.
