Speaking Larsen

Snagged a few pictures {with Kyle's help} of Brooklyn's smile! She is super cute! We took the kids to see the Falls........ We went to see the geese, and found a bunch hiding away from the crowds, behind Red Lion. They had all their little babies...in the canal. We found them by luck. Cate was so funny as we tried to sneak up on the geese and their babies as to not scare them. When she saw them, she turned and was giggling, but covering her mouth to be quiet. So funny. I realized it's totally time to potty train Jocelyn.... These phots of Jo are not staged... Brooklyn was crying {see her in the background there...}, but I had to catch Jo in the act of trying to wear Cate's unders. (For some reason that is what we call underwear....) We had a fantastic day, filled with nothing serious, just being a family and being home. Around 5 we had a big party with friends who were also home with no where to go. It was a really good BBQ and the company was awe-some! Wink Wink...

Worth noting: Some shots I was aiming at the bead work, the head band, her face, etc... So if she is out of focus, it's really on purpose. I think I finally got some great shots of Brooklyn in her blessing dress. We just weren't able to do it on Mother's Day. Too crazy, plus she spit up on her dress so much she reeked! So I did it today. It took way to long. Brooklyn squirms almost every time the camera points her way...but after 4 hours of posing and repositioning her and being patient, I got a few that I love.

Happy Birthday Brooklyn Jade!!! You are six weeks old today! Brooklyn is getting better by the minute! She is sleeping pretty good at night, which I love. She is a good little girl, hardly crying at all, even when her siblings maul her. THough as you look at the photos, you might think otherwise. She isnt' my camera-loving kid just yet. Every time I turn the camera on her for her Wednesday pics she decides she hates it. She is smiling more and more every day, and though you have to wait for it, and talk it out of her, Brooklyn's little grin is awe-some! Just you wait till she starts doing it for the camera all the time.{Because she will, she is a Larsen kid!} On week 4 I got a grin on the camera, but it wasn't because of anything we did or said to her. So in just snapping away I caught a few great pics yesterday and today. Landon spent some serious time in the sun today. It was 87* out! So when he came in for some down time, he crashed! Brooklyn in the little dress from Debbie was just priceless! She is growing and changing so quickly. Then Catelyn--well, isn't she growing up too fast? Or is it just me?? She looks so grown up with this style of hair, and though she isn't smiling, I feel like her facial expression is awesome. And of course, Jocelyn (who looks bald when I have her hair back in two piggy tails) and I were just being silly. Trying to photograph six grandkids, age 6 and under, is a joke. Really. It's what my parents wanted though out of this past weekend. I tried. This is what we got: This last one, is the best one.

First comes the bath....and while we are there...why not a drink! Then mom does my hair. It's getting longer, so we had to try out a few styles. This is the come it straight down look. My ends flip up just right. Nice huh! Next came a blow dry. Not so nice. I then let my mom try to curl it (I know, I know...) but just to straighten it. Didn't work so well. But then came the best look of all.......... Drum Roll Please....................... Wait for it....Wait for it..... TA DA!!! Piggy tails!
