My Settlers

Over Thanksgiving we taught these two how to play Settlers of Catan... and boy did they pick up on it fast! And not only did they grasp the rules and such, they fell in love with it. We have has a great time playing with them. I love that they're getting big time enough for this kind of stuff!

Wrapping Up 2013

You stuck with nothing more than photos and captions. Sorry! We had a LATE NIGHT with the Ward's and it was absolute riot! The little girls were here, and they owned the night! The boys all went to Kambria's and the older girls went to Ward's and it was perfect! On many occasions you can find this posse  owning the streets of Azure and Prism. Even our next door neighbor Shane hangs out with the girls. Sure, he prefers playing with Landon and Gabe and Parker, but the pink posse works too. We hit the Art Festival down on the river and made a whole bunch of crafts. And played the drums. Right before School started, I had to get the first bulletin board up at the school. I had help! We soaked in as much sun as we possibly could. Who needs training wheels? Not Brooklyn. Or Jocelyn! Seriously, this crowd! And this one. We own the fun in the summer. Just sayin'. School started, and left this one behind. ...

Canada Trip

In NOvember, my grandpa passed away, and we made a quick trip to Calgary. My kids love my cousins. And we snapped a few photos of them togehter. Except for Landon.  I wish I could tel you where he was every time I pulled out the camera....but I can't.  He was probably off playing. This is Shanna, and she's got a good hold on these two.  They love her! And this is Grandpa John.  He is my mom's dad. This is Shelby, and she actually pulled out Catelyn's last tooth while we were there.  They have a cute little bond now because of it. Headed home.

Halloween Carnival

We went to the Halloween Carnival on Friday night! One of our favorite activities was face painting.

Momma's Girl

Don't kid yourself.  She's got a temper and can be nothing but full of vinegar sometimes, but mostly, she's a sweet, snuggly, kissable, tender-hearted gumdrop. And she nearly dies when I have to leave for a meeting or some other thing. Like a date with Kyle. Or have surgery. Or mention going somewhere without her. *DIES* And when that happens, she needs to snuggle with me and  fall asleep in my arms. And I let her. LOVE HER.

The day has arrived...

I'm going to be spending many years looking at doors like this one.  We have officially hit the stage where we need to try clothes on. Catelyn's nearly five feet tall now and can wear a women's size 6.5 shoe! So today I took her to a little second hand clothing store we have here. She's still a bit too young for the sizes they have there, but I was hoping she would fit into the extra small. And she did! We found two really cute vests and a cute shirt! (Total spent:$22) But it was a little surreal to wait for her while she tried stuff on. Its fun, and crazy all at the same time!

Soccer Son

Tonight is the last night of a six week stint of Landon playing soccer. He has absolutely loved it! Kyle has been very happy with his coach. We've noticed significant improvement in Landon's skills. By far his favorite new friend is Levi Landers and he hopes to play with him after the season's over. I brought the camera tonight only to realize it didn't have its memory card. So these photos will have to suffice.
