Worn Out Denium

These little jeans were purchased sometime in 2004, when Catelyn was a year old.  They survived all three girls, but now, they are histroy.  I literally threw them away just a few days ago, but had to photograph them, and show off how it was Brooklyn who was the culprit in putting holes in not only the knees, but the bum as well! Brooklyn also was a good model for my feather hair pieces the other day!  She loved them.  Won't really wear them, but still....

OUTSIDE!

She's dying to get out and play...   And  we do let her out there, but when it's time to come in,  she screams like the devil on a Sunday morning....

Landon's Eye

Landon was complaining last night that his temple hurt.  Like he had a headache or something.  So after about 2 hours of off and on complaining, I gave him some Tylenol and put him to bed.  At 5;:45 he was up this morning to go to the bathroom.  He started crying.  when we got up and found him crying on the stairs he said it was because he couldn't see and his face was scary.  his eye was swollen shut.  Since he wasn't in any kind of pain at the time, we decided to hold out two more hours and sleep, and skip the ER.  At 8 am sharp I was talking to a nurse, and she did indeed think (shocker) that we needed to get him in. The appointment was set at 9:45 and I let Landon sleep.  I was trying to decide if it was something worth taking him in for.  Not that I would deny him treatment, but what if he just smacked it on something, and the swelling goes away in a hour?  Or if he wakes up and it's gone? Well, I am so glad we went with o...

a visitor

Sorry about the fuzzy photo.  I didn't realize that it was a bad one...they were rushing out the door...so I only had time to snap this one. Ila's been a friend of Catelyn's for some time now.  The silly girls have the same sense of style even.  Weird.  Who would have thought it started so young?  When they both came up stairs in dresses, I was laughing.  Crazy girls. Ila's parents were headed out of town, and I offered our home to them for one of their kids to stay.  We were delighted to have Ila.  She is a sweet girl, and of course, on her very best behavior when she's here. She came home with Catelyn from school, on Tuesday.  They played and did homework, and even read, so that they could go to Achievement Days that night. *Side Note*  Catelyn started Achievement Days, a program for the 8-11 year old girl at church.  SHE LOVES IT!  She is so excited to work on her Faith in God program...Memorizing AoF and doing FHE...

The Girls

I found these photos on my camera.  I am not sure who took them, but my guess is Landon...and maybe Cate.  Anyway, we had some fun with Grandma Betty, and Landon the stinker, woudln't take a photo with her.  But the girls jumped in.  Brooklyn was napping, so she missed out... We love seeing our Grandma Buddy from Canada!

Sleepers

So we go in and check on our kids before we go to bed, 99% of the time.  Usually just to make sure they are covered up, windows locked, that kind of thing.  On occasion, we have found some funny things.  See: Missing Children.... That are found in their siblings beds.... And superheros soar in their dreams and red shorts. But we found this the other night.  It was the first time Brooklyn's been the one to be found in a funny way.  Had to grab the camera and document.  Right? Too tired to really crawl into bed?  Fell asleep praying?  Who knows! At the very least, she is BY-FAR the best sleeper we have outta the four of them.  She beats her siblings HANDS-DOWN when it comes to going to bed and sleeping through the night!  Don't know why, she just does!
