TO TEXAS and BEYOND!

We knew we were going to be headed to Texas in March for Maddie's baptism, and I managed to snap a few photos! The kids had great time, despite the length of the trip. So what if the pool was closed at the first hotel we stopped at. And so what if we didn't get to bask in the heat that was supposed to be Texas. We still got to hang out with cousins, have a party for two days, and do all kinds of fun things with everyone. We got little cookie sheets to use for coloring, games, and such. They were perfect trays. After St. George, it was miles and miles of THIS SCENERY.  Once we made it though, it was better. We stayed at a very LOVELY hotel. We dashed off to the baptism, and spend the evening with Kendra and Kevin and Co.  THIS FUNNY BIKE had Landon and the rest of us laughing so hard. THIS IS CALLED THE DEATH STARE. If looks could kill. Too bad she's so cute doing it. Alex and Grandma. The girls helping Kendra prepare dinne...

Catelyn turns 11!

This year we had a pretty laid back birthday for Catelyn as well, and celebrated with a few gifts and friends. Her dear friend Kelsey gave her 11 little gifts, which was so sweet and cute. Her friend Ila got her a little jacket, and she wears it all the time! Catelyn' really wanted Chevron skirts for her birthday. And that's exactly what she got! Shortly after her birthday, Catelyn graduated from D.A.R.E. and we couldn't be prouder of her! She tried really hard to not drink soda when they were challenged to give it up. The celebration/graduation was a blast and the whole 5th grade class had a blast! Maren and Catelyn-- all giggles Kelsey and Catelyn Mrs. Smith and Cate! Friends! Catelyn, Andrea and Maren!

Lost Blog Posts

I had blogged a whole bunch of posts about the kids, and accidentally LOST them. So now I have to try to recap all of it, and I'm afraid the best I can do is a bunch of photos with more cations. Kinda boring, but still, it's better than lost forever. Catelyn's seriously getting so big! She's officially five feet tall! She's wearing a women's size 5-6 depending on the shoe, and she can wear my shoes! These great boots were a Christmas gift, and I just might have to borrow them! Mr. Landon's liking his kindle more and more. Especially since he can play a few games on it. Hah! These two make me laugh! They are LOVING their dolls. Played a little BBall this winter. Landon's so fun to watch! Like I said, They're so silly and fun! This monkey could wear sweats every day. Mine, if I didn't have hips, or if she did. Being home alone, means helping mom all the time. Favorite thing to help with? Selfies.  Ju...

No More Getting BEHIND!

It kills me that I went underwater with the kid's blog. I just can't have that anymore! I'm still behind, but I am going to get caught up and stay that way, like I used to. I'm just declaring it, for declaration's sake! Paige and Jo were playing -on crazy hair day as it was- and little Logan Burton came looking to play with Jo. THE SWEETEST, MOST INNOCENT CRUSH EVER! Later that week, we took the little girls out to eat at Arby's  and those curly fries were super entertaining.

Poor Kida

So Brooklyn and Peyton have become Kida's worst nightmare. They stalk her down and dress her up. Like this. And I just laugh.

Landon turns 9!

This kid is crazy! And we love it! This year his birthday fell on Super Bowl Sunday!  We had family over for the game after church and ate lots of good food! On the brink of being a pre-teen, Landon's busy reading, playing basketball, and doing a bit of work around the house.... like unloading dishes and picking up bathroom. His birthday is so close to Jocelyn's that we celebrated their birthday's at the same time this year and he brought Garrett along to iJump with us. They battled the girl in dodge ball, and tried to do  did back flips. He's loving third grade, and is growing taller by the minute. He did an amazing job at his first piano recital--didn't even miss a single note! He wants to drive the four-wheeler when we go out to the farm and will do just about any job for a few minutes of tablet or computer time. No surprise there.

Jocelyn's turns 7!

2014 is the year of friend birthdays. Meaning our family party is pretty chill and we just do something chill with a friend or two. And Jocelyn invited Paige to join us at iJump. We had a great time, and I'm glad we took her--it was Jocelyn's first time! They were silly and played dodge ball for FOREVER! We are so glad to have her in our lives, and for her sweet friend Paige too! They are a fun duo and make us laugh all the time.
